R.J. Bryson, Batesville, to his mother

Bryson writes to his mother and says he's in good health and asks if she still has the nag he sent home. He says if the "Rebs" have not taken it, send the one he is now sending to his brother, James.  If the nag has been taken, he tells her to keep this one. Bryson was a private in Company B of the 4th Arkansas Mounted Infantry Volunteers.  SMC.5.3
