Military Records

Unidentified Confederate Soldiers

The Arkansas History Commission's collections of military records are extensive. They include service records, casualty lists, correspondence, muster rolls, narrative battle reports, questionnaires, pension records, discharge papers, and many others, from the Revolutionary War, the War of 1812, the Civil War, Spanish-American War, and World War I.

Though only certain of these records are searchable below, all of these military records are available for use in our research room, and photocopies are also available.

Photocopies can be requested by filling out the Photocopy Order Form with the information on the record you want, then mailing it and a check for the photocopy fee to: Arkansas History Commission, One Capitol Mall, Little Rock, Arkansas 72201. If you are unsure how many pages the photocopy order will be, please send an email to, and we will be able to give you the correct number of pages to order.
