1920-1922 Little Rock Travelers baseball players
The Little Rock Travelers baseball team located in Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, became a charter member of the Southern Association in 1901. They won their first pennant in 1920 for manager Norman (Kid) Eberfeld who was still manager in 1922. One of the most beloved players was "Rube Robinson." Born John Henry Roberson in Floyd, near Searcy, White County, Arkansas, in 1889, "Rube" pitched for the Travelers between 1916 and 1928 and won 26 games for them in 1920 and 1922. Robinson retired in 1929 at the age of 40.
