This January 19th 1857
State of Arkansas Saline County
We the Baptist Church of Christ at
Spring Creek do hereby certify that our beloved broth
er & sister Andrew M. Dodd & Lydia Dodd are in full
fellowship with us are hereby dismissed from us when
joined to any other church of the same faith and order
done in conference Saturday before the first Lords day
in November 1856 and signed by order of the church

[added to letter in pencil] Eldest brother of
David Dodd A M. Dodd my grandfather was a deacon in this church

P. S. This Dismissin(sic) was made as above
Stated in Nove 1856 and Letters written and started to you
and therefore I have written this letter and dated
accordingly
